Welcome to The Fleapit Cinema Club – the home for everyone who enjoys watching great films in good company. Based at Westerham Hall in Westerham, we have modern projection equipment, a 24′ screen (larger than many multiplexes), a licensed bar and fabulous ice creams!
The Fleapit welcomes everyone. Membership covers admission to every screening that season – nothing more to pay unless you fancy a drink or an ice cream.

Pilates Classes
Pilates offers a form of exercise for the entire body. Emphasis is on gentle stretching and toning whilst strengthening core stability and improving posture.
We are at Westerham Hall on Tuesday Mornings:
- 9:30-10:30: Intermediate
- 10:45-11:45: Easy Mat
Classes are pre-paid in half-termly blocks.
One-on-one sessions are available by arrangement either at Westerham Hall or in your own home.

WADS puts on a broad range of plays and shows – from Chekhov to pantomime; modern drama to Victorian Music Hall; new works to classic favourites. Whether you are interested in appearing on stage, joining in behind the scenes; doing your bit for publicity; helping run the bar or welcoming our audience front of house, we promise you a warm welcome to this friendly society. And if you would like to direct – great! There’s no stuffy hierarchy here.
We also run workshops covering all aspects of performance and theatre production. Our main home is Westerham Hall whose stage we can transform into just about anything or anywhere. And with our state-of-the-art technical facilities, the illusion is complete.

We are about 50 members interested in bees and beekeeping mainly in an area within 5 miles of Westerham.
We meet during the winter months in Westerham Hall for lectures by visiting specialists and our own members. During the active beekeeping season, we meet for demonstrations by experienced beekeepers in our members’ apiaries.

We arrange Cultural Visits and Gallery Group Outings for our members in addition to our monthly Lectures. We provide a focus locally for people to share and enjoy an interest in the Arts and are independent of NADFAS.
The Society meets on the first Wednesday of every month in Westerham Hall in Quebec Avenue. Lectures and events cover all aspects of art and architecture, ceramics, glass, silver, furniture, tapestry, photography, gardens and historic houses.
The Bar opens at 7.30pm and talks start at 8pm.

Introduction
The Westerham Society is a civic society open to men and women of all ages who share an interest in Westerham and the surrounding countryside. In addition to hosting a series of interesting talks, visits and social events, the society aims to protect the beauty and character of Westerham and the surrounding countryside. It takes action on relevant issues and represents its members on matters which might impact on the welfare or development of the town.
The society was formed in 1913 but was suspended for the duration of the Second World War. A group of local residents resurrected the society in the 1960s with the intention of recording the past history of Westerham and Crockham Hill, maintaining a record of the present times and safeguarding the future of the parish. The society has grown steadily since this time and is run by volunteers who give up their time for the benefit of the conservation and improvement of Westerham and Crockham Hill.
What are the aims of the Society?
- Stimulate public interest in the history, beauty and character of the town of Westerham and the surrounding countryside.
- Preserve and extend the amenities of the parish of Westerham and Crockham Hill.
- Protect the open spaces of the parish of Westerham and Crockham Hill from encroachment and disfigurement.
- Encourage the highest standards of architectural and town planning in the parish of Westerham and Crockham Hill.
- Represent the wishes and safeguard the rights of its members to achieve these objectives.
- Develop fellowship among members and would-be members by staging regular meetings and visits with a social dimension
What does the Society do?
- Holds regular interesting talks and presentations, visits and events on local and broader themes.
- Tries to ensure that the local historic surroundings are not destroyed and do not disappear. Although the Society acts as a custodian of the past, it also encourages the best new additions.
- Studies local planning proposals for applications and informs the local authorities of members’ views and suggestions.
- Keeps watch on the footpaths around the Westerham and Crockham Hill parish to ensure that they are kept clear and accessible.
- Issues newsletters to keep members updated on activities and issues.
- Holds an annual Sir Winston Churchill Dinner at Chartwell on his birthday on the 30th November each year. Previous guest speakers include Baroness Thatcher, Lord Healey, The Lady Soames, Sir John Major, Lord Watson and Lord Owen.

The Westerham U3A is for everyone in Westerham and surrounding areas in their ‘Third Age’ – retired/no longer in full-time work.
Membership offers chances to learn for fun, discover and share skills, interests and experiences and meet new people in a friendly environment.
